TA Digital Announces Dr. Ali Alkhafaji as the new VP of Digital Technologies

FREMONT, Calif., Feb. 9, 2017 — TA Digital a leading global digital technology marketing agency specializing in digital experience, commerce, and marketing announced today that Dr. Ali Alkhafaji has joined their team as Vice President of Digital Technologies. As a digital evangelist, Ali will leverage his 18 years of industry experience. As a digital technology leader, he will drive rapid growth through their digital technology practices and help their clients gain quantum leaps in their digital transformation journey.

For the last two years at Valtech, Ali has led the technology group in the US. During that span, Ali was overseeing a multitude of disciplines, including Java, .NET, frontend, DevOps, quality, PHP, C++, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, augmented/virtual reality and mobility. His team was responsible for delivering enterprise solutions, like Adobe Experience Manager, SAP C/4HANA, Sitecore, Episerver, Mobile Apps and You.i. Previously, Ali worked as a CEM practice head and chief architect at Virtusa, leading a global team of 150 resources.
While at Virtusa, Ali helped architect, manage and drive Virtusa LaunchPad – an award winning Adobe Experience Manager Accelerator tool. In 2015, for these efforts, Virtusa won Adobe’s Marketing Cloud Innovation Award. Also when with Siteworx, in 2014, it was named Adobe’s North America Regional Partner of the Year for at least half a dozen successful implementations by his team within the calendar year.
In Academia, Ali has been teaching and conducting artificial intelligence research for the last 7 years. Also, Ali received his Bachelors of Science in computer science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Masters of Science in computer science from the University of Chicago and currently defending his Doctorate dissertation with the artificial intelligent department at DePaul University.
